The Towsontowne Strollers promotes physical fitness and care of our environment through noncompetitive sporting events. Our events are designed to help people have fun, become fit, make friends and appreciate the environment through volkssporting.
Volkssporting is an international sport that includes noncompetitive walks, hikes, bike rides, swims, and in some regions cross-country skiing. You choose when to participate and can participate in the sport at your own pace. Walking – also called “volksmarching” – is the most popular of all the volkssporting activities. The normal distances are 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) or 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
At Rotary, we are deeply concerned by the escalating loss of life and humanitarian hardship caused by the war in Ukraine. We’re using our deep networks and decades of experience to take swift action in the region.
