NCR Trail is on it’s Way!

We the Rotary Club of Towsontowne have donated Dero Bike Fix-It Stations, that are also equipped with air pumps for Paper Mill, Monkton, While Hall and Freeland.

On May 5 the last Bike Station has been installed at the Monkton Trail location, which is located at 1900 Monkton Road, where now all four Bike Stations have been fully installed and ready for the public.

Bike Fixit Station

We the Rotary Club of Towsontowne are installing Fixit Stations all across these hiking trails within our area, to help give support towards bike riders.

The Fixit includes all the necessary tools to perform basic bike repairs and maintenance, from changing a flat to adjusting brakes and derailleurs.

The tools are securely attached to the stand with stainless steel cables and tamper-proof fasteners, hanging the bike from the hanger arms allows the pedals and wheels to spin freely while making adjustments, the Fixit Station will also include an air pump.

The install is targeted to be completed by Dec 1, 2022.

The Stations Will Be Installed At the Following Locations on the Trail:

  • Paper Mill Trail Head – .5 mile marker; 150 cars plus street parking
  • Monkton Trail Head – 7.2 mile marker; 25 cars plus street parking; water and restrooms
  • Whitehall Trail Head – 10.8 mile marker; 20 cars plus street parking
  • Freeland Trail Head – 18.6 mile marker; 75 cars; water and restroom facility
